The soft-close lid is the quiet hero here—no more clanging when I toss something in during late-night cooking. The Nordic look blends in so well with my countertop that guests actually ask where I got it. It’s become my favorite corner of the kitchen.
The step mechanism is smooth and silent, which is exactly what I wanted for the kitchen. It holds a surprising amount without looking bulky, and the matte finish hides fingerprints well.
The pedal mechanism is surprisingly smooth and quiet—no loud clanking when you open it. I chose the matte black finish for my bathroom, and it actually looks like a piece of decor.
